Discussion...as of 7:45 PM PDT Monday...the forecast was recently 
amended to reflect patches/areas of coastal fog developing. Higher 
humidities caught beneath strengthening marine inversions has led to 
fog development. 


Highs today were warmer than on Sunday generally by 5 to 10 degrees 
across the area. Higher humidities will help hold temperatures in the 
middle to upper 50s tonight...but above the marine airmass in the 
coastal hills and mountains even warmer readings can be expected. 
A northerly pressure gradient will develop more so Tuesday afternoon 
and evening. The strength of the northerly gradient would cause 
increased northerly surface winds and clear out low clouds and fog 
Tuesday afternoon and night. A large upper low developing over Nevada 
this weekend will probably keep the marine airmass mixed out and the 
coverage of low clouds and fog to a minimum. 


No other updates are expected tonight.

Aviation...as of 10:35 PM PDT Monday...stratus remain along the 
coast at this time and is slowly making its way into inland valleys 
of the North Bay. Low clouds will move into the sf Bay and Monterey 
Bay after midnight tonight. Clearing is anticipated around 18z 
Tuesday across area terminals. Winds will be light tonight with a 
seabreeze expected to kick in Tuesday during the afternoon and 
evening hours.
