Synopsis... 


A weak cold front will complete a Crossing of the area today and 
end any rain chance for the next several days. Temperatures will 
warm above seasonal normals for much of the new week.

Near term /through tonight/... 


The weak cold front was just west of a line from Erie to 
Zanesville as of midnight with only isolated showers remaining in 
the stabilizing atmosphere. The front is prognosticated to continue 
sliding eastward through the day with just a slight chance of 
showers in the mountains south and east of Pittsburgh. 
High temperatures will rise above normal under building high 
pressure, while drying atmosphere will allow for a cool night.

Short term /Sunday through Tuesday/... 
deep and broad high pressure will build over the Ohio Valley early 
next week...mostly clear skies and warm temperatures.

Long term /Tuesday night through Friday/... 
no alterations needed this morning to the long term forecast with 
the high pressure ridge projected to shift from the Great Lakes 
to the middle Atlantic region. This pattern will maintain warm 
temperatures and keep conditions dry for the week.

Aviation /05z Saturday through Wednesday/... 


Frontal boundary will slowly move across the area through the 
morning hours. Most ceilings will remain in the VFR range as cloud 
cover is middle level. There will be some isolated ceilings falling into the low 
MVFR to high IFR range right along boundary. These lower clouds are 
expected mainly from fkl to duj. Fog has developed across many 
locations ahead of front...however with cloud cover pushing 
eastward...expect visible to dip into the MVFR range. In locations that 
normally experience lower visible with fog...visible could dip into the IFR 
range. 


Front will take time to cross the area...so northern locations will 
clear out during the late morning hours...while the south will hold 
onto middle deck into the afternoon. Conditions will remain in the VFR 
range. Do not expect much activity with front...but storms could 
develop along front in far south as atmosphere is unstable. 


Once front clears the area VFR conditions are expected through the 
extended period.
