Synopsis For The Middle Texas Coastal Waters
A surface low pressure system off the northern Gulf Coast late this afternoon will move inland into the southern Gulf Coast states by Sunday. High pressure will settle into south Texas tonight..then move northeast late Sunday as low pressure develops in the Southern Plains. A weak to moderate onshore flow will persist on Monday and early Tuesday ahead of the next cold front. This front will move into the coastal waters around midday Tuesday with a strong offshore flow developing in its wake. There will also be a chance of showers and thunderstorms Monday and Tuesday. The offshore flow will weaken on Wednesday as high pressure settles into south Texas.

North winds 10 to 15 knots decreasing to 5 to 10 knots after midnight. Bay waters slightly choppy decreasing to smooth after midnight.

East winds 5 to 10 knots becoming southeast after midnight. Bay waters smooth.
Monday
Southeast winds 5 to 10 knots. Bay waters smooth.

Northeast winds 10 to 15 knots becoming north 15 to 20 knots in the afternoon. Bay waters slightly choppy increasing to choppy in the afternoon. A chance of showers and thunderstorms.

North winds 15 to 20 knots. Bay waters choppy. A slight chance of showers in the evening.
Wednesday
North winds 15 to 20 knots decreasing to 10 to 15 knots in the afternoon. Bay waters choppy decreasing to slightly choppy in the afternoon.

North winds 10 to 15 knots. Bay waters slightly choppy.
Thursday
North winds 5 to 10 knots. Bay waters smooth.
Thursday Night
Northwest winds 5 to 10 knots becoming north 10 to 15 knots after midnight. Bay waters smooth increasing to slightly choppy after midnight.
