Strait of Belle Isle

northeast Gulf - northwestern half.

Wind northeast 25 knots with gusts to 35 along the Quebec coast this

afternoon. Wind diminishing to north 20 late overnight then backing

to northwest 15 Sunday afternoon. Snow at times heavy ending late

this afternoon. Flurries tonight. Visibility 1 mile or less in

precipitation. Temperatures near zero.



Northeast Gulf - southeastern half.

Wind east 30 knots diminishing to southwest 20 to 25 near noon then

becoming north 20 this evening. Wind backing to northwest 15 Sunday

evening. Periods of rain ending this afternoon. Flurries late this

evening and overnight. Fog patches dissipating this evening.

Temperatures plus 5 falling to zero Sunday afternoon.



Gulf - Port au Port.

Wind southwest 20 to 25 knots except northeast 25 along the Quebec

coast. Wind increasing to southwest 30 early this afternoon then

veering to northwest 25 this evening. Wind veering to north 15 to 20

near noon Sunday then backing to northwest 10 to 15 Sunday evening.

Periods of rain ending early this afternoon. A few flurries and

showers after midnight. Fog patches dissipating this evening.



Southwest coast

South Coast.

Wind southwest 30 knots diminishing to northwest 20 near noon Sunday.

Showers ending near noon. Fog patches dissipating this evening.



East Coast.

Wind southeast 30 knots veering to southwest 30 early this afternoon

then to northwest 25 early Sunday morning. Showers ending early this

afternoon. Fog patches dissipating late overnight.



Northeast coast.

Wind east 25 knots becoming southwest 20 to 25 this afternoon except

variable 10 to 15 over northern sections. Wind diminishing to

northwest 15 early this evening then increasing to north 30 late

overnight. Wind diminishing to northwest 20 Sunday evening. Periods

of rain ending late this afternoon. Flurries overnight and Sunday.

Visibility as low as 1 mile in flurries. Temperatures plus 5 falling

to zero Sunday morning.



Belle Isle Bank.

Wind east 15 knots increasing to 30 this afternoon then becoming

northwest 30 late overnight. Periods of snow and rain ending late

this afternoon. Flurries tonight and Sunday. Visibility 1 mile or

less in precipitation. Temperatures near plus 1.



Funk Island Bank.

Gale Warning in effect.

Wind light increasing to southeast 25 knots early this afternoon then

veering to southwest 30 early this evening. Wind increasing to

northwest 40 Sunday morning then diminishing to 30 Sunday afternoon.

Showers ending this evening. Showers and flurries Sunday. Fog

patches dissipating early Sunday morning.



Northern Grand Banks.

Gale Warning in effect.

Wind southwest 25 knots increasing to 35 early this evening then

diminishing to 25 near midnight. Wind veering to northwest 30 Sunday

afternoon. Showers beginning this afternoon and ending this evening.

Fog patches forming this afternoon and dissipating after midnight.



Southeastern Grand Banks.

Gale Warning in effect.

Wind southwest 20 to 25 knots increasing to 35 early this evening

then diminishing to 25 near midnight. Wind diminishing to west 15

late overnight then veering to northwest 20 near noon Sunday.

Showers and occasional fog patches beginning this afternoon and

ending Sunday morning with a risk of thunderstorms.



Southwestern Grand Banks.

Wind southwest 20 knots increasing to 30 near noon then diminishing

to west 15 to 20 this evening. Wind veering to northwest 25 Sunday

morning. Showers and fog patches beginning near noon and ending near

midnight with a risk of thunderstorms.
