at times, with gales as in warning 461. Between trough and second

ridge: southwest 25kt with gales as in warning 461. West of second

weakening ridge extends northwestwards from 40s 120w. Low 37s 118w

moving slowly westwards then southeast with clockwise winds 30kt to

gale. Trough 35s 136w southsoutheastwards, moving east, followed by

southwesterlies 20kt to 30kt and heavy swells. High 40s 160w moving

east, extends weakening ridge westwards, and another ridge eastwards.

Easterlies 20kt to 30kt north of ridges and 35s. South of ridge and

48s, westerlies 30kt to gale with heavy swells, tending northwest in

southwest quadrant of high. Low developing 231200z at 25s 156w moving
